Raiders get a WR1 in the first round

player. 812. . Wide Receiver. Buckeyes . Garrett Wilson. 22

The Las Vegas Raiders felt that they had a legitimate WR1 in Henry Ruggs III, especially after he got out to a hot start to the 2021 season. Well, things did not go as planned for the Raiders and Ruggs, and with his career over, the team will now have to turn the page and try to add a player who can take over that role in 2022 and beyond.

There have been plenty of names thrown out in terms of free agency, as Raider Nation would love Davante Adams to join his former college teammate in Derek Carr with the Raiders. However, that seems a bit far-fetched, as Adams is going to be asking for top dollar, and I am not sure Ziegler will be willing to pay so much for a wideout, even an elite one.

If that is the case, the team should look to target the wideout position with one of their first two picks, as there is a lot of elite talent in this draft class. Garrett Wilson from Ohio State could be the first wide receiver off the board, but if he is available at No. 22 overall, he may be too good a fit to pass up on.
