With their final pick in our latest 7-round Raiders mock draft, the Silver and Black go back to the secondary to bring in a solid safety in Round 7. We still do not know what the team is to expect from Johnathan Abram from week to week, and there is a chance he is not a part of the long-term solution in Las Vegas.
Picking Verone McKinley III with this selection makes a lot of sense, as the team got great play from a young safety in Tre’Von Moehrig last year, and the team needs to find his partner at the back end of the secondary. McKinley is a player who has tremendous football IQ and could end up on Day 2 of the draft with a good draft season, making him a steal for the Raiders here in the seven-round.
Overview
So there you have it, the Raiders fill some major needs early on, adding an elite wide receiver and a mauler at offensive tackle in the first and second rounds. On Day 2, they bring in linebacker help, and depth at cornerback, establishing more speed and youth on the defensive side of the ball.

5 Raiders who desperately need to develop in the 2022 offseason
The Las Vegas Raiders hope to get back to the playoffs next season, but these five key players will need to develop more this offseason to do so.
On Day 3, the Raiders hope to close out what could be a cornerstone draft class for them, getting help up front on both sides of the ball, and finishing out with a possible starter at safety. Overall, this would be a tremendous haul for Ziegler and McDaniels for their first draft class, hopefully setting the stage for success in April moving forward.
