Las Vegas Raiders: Top-4 position groups to target early in the 2022 NFL Draft

No. 2: Wide Receiver

The Las Vegas Raiders are likely sticking with quarterback Derek Carr for the long-term, which means they will need to continue to stack weapons around him. Obviously, Henry Ruggs III is done in Vegas, and with Zay Jones hitting free agency, it may be time to revamp this position group as well this offseason.

Hunter Renfrow proved himself to be a legitimate star last season, and Bryan Edwards had a few moments that make you wonder just how good he can be. Tight end Darren Waller is like having another elite wideout on the field at all times, but wide receiver is a position that I believe the Raiders need to target in the first two rounds.

There is a lot of first-round talent at the position group, and some elite players are going to find themselves falling to Day 2 based on team needs. If the Raiders can get a true playmaker in this year’s draft, it completely changes things on the outside and makes this offense even scarier than it was early on last season before the Ruggs incident.
