Las Vegas Raiders: Top-4 position groups to target early in the 2022 NFL Draft

No. 1: Offensive Tackle

During the 2021 NFL Draft, the Raiders swung and missed in the first round once again, adding Alabama left tackle Alex Leatherwood to the fold. Leatherwood was supposed to come in and be an anchor at right tackle opposite Kolton Miller, but he played so bad that he ended up being kicked inside to guard, clearing the way for Brandon Parker to join the starting lineup.

That cannot be the case this season, and that is why I believe that offensive tackle is the No. 1 priority for this team in the 2022 NFL Draft. Sure, they could go out and get a right tackle via free agency, but the 2022 NFL Draft class is loaded with talent at the position group, and one of the first two picks by the franchise has to address this need.

Making sure he gets it right early on in the 2022 NFL Draft is key for Ziegler, as it is something Mayock was unable to do. The Raiders won ten games last season and made the playoffs, so reloading this roster and finding complements to the elite talent they already have is paramount this April, especially in the first few rounds.
