Raiders: Grading the offensive position groups entering the 2022 offseason

Tight Ends

Our Nicholas Yacenko did a nice job breaking down the tight end position when it comes to this Raiders team entering the offseason, and he was right, they do have a ton of talent at the position group. The combination of Darren Waller and Foster Moreau is as good as it gets at the NFL level, but there is some work to be done behind them.

Nick Bowers is another tight end that is under contract heading into the offseason, but Derek Carrier is entering free agency, which could spell the end to his four-year run with the franchise. Overall, this is a position group the Raiders should be patient with this offseason, as it is one of their lesser needs.

Carrier is a solid veteran and will need to be replaced, but the Raiders are in a great situation with both Waller and Moreau atop the depth chart. Honestly, I would love to see more from Moreau this season, as he did not take advantage of his opportunity with Waller on the shelf for an extended period last year, rounding into a legitimate TE2.
