Raiders: Derek Carr trade scenarios abound amid extension rumors

Could Derek Carr replace Tom Brady in Tampa Bay?

The Deshaun Watson scenario has often been discussed among Raider Nation, though nothing official has ever surfaced. Another rumor that’s getting traction is surrounding the notion that Carr would replace the now-retired Tom Brady.

Jonathan Adams of Heavy.com stated that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will need to get creative in replacing Brady. Carr is often at the center of offseason speculation, with nothing ever coming to fruition. With several names, such as Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, being mentioned right now, swinging a deal for Carr is certainly possible for the Bucs.

Carr is a proven quarterback at the NFL level, and the Buccaneers have a playoff-ready roster that may not be ready to turn the reigns over to Kyle Trask next season. It would take a lot to get Carr in a trade, but the Buccaneers have some assets, and definitely do not want to slide back to the bottom of the NFC South without Brady.
