5 wide receivers the Raiders should target in the 2022 NFL Draft

Christian Watson, North Dakota State

If new General Manager Dave Ziegler and the Raiders decide to go offensive line or defensive back in the first round Christian Watson out of North Dakota State would be a great choice for a pick later in the second or possibly third day of the draft with all the talent in this 2022 wide receiver class.

It will be interesting to see what Watson runs at either his Pro Day or combine because he has an official 40 time of 4.44 at the high school level. Watson has been the number one target of San Francisco’s first-round pick from last year Trey Lance and possesses the speed, route running, catching ability, and return skills to make an instant impact in his rookie season.

Although he does have to skills to be a successful NFL wide receiver the level of play in the FCS will always be a question was he really that good or were the players he was playing against just not up to his level? I believe Watson will be successful at the next level and could be the next Cooper Kupp.

I would love the Raiders to take the risk and pick him up in the third round to not only get that vertical threat but also to bolster the Raiders kickoff return game which has suffered since their last kick return touchdown which came all the way back in 2011.
