Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Interior OL free agents to target in 2022

Raiders free agent target: James Daniels, OG

James Daniels might be a more expensive option compared to Williams, but he’d be worth it in terms of improving the run game. In retrospect, he was one of a handful of bright spots for the Chicago Bears last season. Another former second pick, like Williams, Daniels, could reach his full potential in Las Vegas.

Daniels’ run blocking has steadily improved since 2019. Per PFF, his grades have been 65.3, 71.0, and 71.8, respectively. The caveat with signing Daniels would be his struggles in pass blocking, especially given that he surrendered 40 pressures as PFF pointed out. But as the Raiders learned last year, Daniels is more than capable of opening up lanes.

Much like Tomlinson and Williams, Daniels would provide an instant boost and help the Raiders put together an improved offensive line. Getting the run game going out of the gate needs to be at the top of the Raiders’ to-do list.
