Raiders: Stealing one player from each AFC East team in 2022 free agency

New England Patriots: J.C. Jackson, CB

The Las Vegas Raiders have to do something to address the secondary this offseason, as they play in a division that has two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert are not going anywhere for a very long time, so upgraded at both cornerback, and safety this offseason is paramount for the organization.

Staying with the cornerback room, the New England Patriots have a pending free agent that I believe should be tops on the Raiders’ wish list via free agency. JC Jackson is a player who is going to command a lot of money in free agency, and if the Raiders want to splurge on a position group, I believe that cornerback should be the spot on defense.

Jackson is an elite player at the cornerback position and would slide in as the CB1 that this team is lacking now that Casey Hayward is entering free agency. Sure, they may choose to bring Hayward back, but Jackson has ties to Ziegler and McDaniels, so they could make a hard push to bring him to Vegas.
