Raiders: Stealing one player from each AFC East team in 2022 free agency
Miami Dolphins: Jason McCourty, CB
The Miami Dolphins have a lot of veterans hitting the free-agent market this offseason, so we could have picked from a handful of names. However, the Silver and Black really have to start building this secondary, and they must bring in some veterans to bring along some of the younger players this offseason.
While I am not saying Jason McCourty should come in and be a starter for the team, he adds veteran leadership to the locker room and has played in some big games in his career. Young players like Trayvon Mullen and Nate Hobbs could learn a lot from him, and he would be a solid depth guy when the time comes.
McCourty is likely past his prime, but he is a proven starting cornerback in this league and would be an upgrade over the backup cornerbacks the Raiders have on this roster. He also has ties to McDaniels based on his time in New England, so if the new head coach wants a veteran cornerback to bring in, he may look to a former player of his.
