Raiders: Stealing one player from each AFC North team in 2022 free agency

Cincinnati Bengals: Jessie Bates, S

The Las Vegas Raiders have multiple decisions to make in terms of the defensive backfield, and the safety position is one of them. While Tre’Von Moehrig was outstanding as a rookie and will be a cornerstone for this defense for years to come, we still do not know what the franchise is going to get out of Johnathan Abram.

A first-round pick back in 2019, Abram has flashed signs that he could be a solid starter for this franchise, but he has never been able to stay healthy or play consistent football. In fact, there is a good chance that he could end up being nothing more than a depth guy, something the Raiders cannot afford going into next season.

Josh McDaniels has had some elite defensive backs during his time in New England, including Devin McCourty, so you have to believe he will want to shore up this issue. One player they should target in a big way is Jessie Bates, who helped the Cincinnati Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance last season, and is still only 24-years old.
