Raiders 2022 7-Round Mock Draft: Pre-NFL Combine Edition
The Raiders need to double-dip on the offensive line this April. Cade Mays from Tennessee would provide a long-term solution as a swing offensive lineman. Though he played tackle with the Volunteers, he could better project as an interior lineman with his massive size. Mays stands at six-foot-six and 325 pounds, possessing a trait that the Raiders desperately need: versatility.
Mays also played at center, so that means the Raiders could possibly have a prospect that could play every position if need be. PFF awarded him solid grades across the board, most notably a 73.3 grade in run-blocking, though his 70.3 pass-blocking grade is noteworthy too.
Along with his versatility, Mays had valuable reps in a power-run scheme in college. That’s key considering what McDaniels will look to do as far as running the ball. This would be a pick with a lot of upside in the fourth round, no doubt contributing to the offensive line’s reconstruction.
