Raiders: Sleepers to target on Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft
Christian Watson – Wide Receiver, North Dakota State
It is no secret that the Raiders need more weapons at receiver, and day two of the draft has been a prime area to find them in the past couple of years.
And someone that could be that gem in this draft class is North Dakota State’s, Chrisitan Watson.
Watson brings the ideal size of an outside X receiver at 6’4 and 210lbs, but when you look at him, he moves like a guy much smaller. He was used on jet sweeps and even lined up at running back, so the coaching staff at NDSU wanted to display his playmaking ability. And as an outside receiver, he averaged 18.6 yards per catch in 2021.
The combination of size, speed, and movement skills will always intrigue teams, and Watson is that exact prospect. His testing numbers may put Watson over the top as a guaranteed second-round pick, but the Raiders need to take a long at him because he has everything necessary to be a number one pass catcher.
