3 Reasons Raiders RB Josh Jacobs should get extended

The Raiders have some tough financial decisions looming regarding long-term commitments. Chief among them will be what will be Josh Jacobs’s fate.

Running back is frequently viewed as an expendable position; gone are the days when players could stick with their respective reams for 10, even five years. While there are certainly several factors contributing to running backs simply not lasting that long in the league anymore, you do occasionally get a talent that exceeds that preconceived notion.

As far as the Raiders go, Jacobs is one of those players after getting drafted with the 24th selection in 2019.

After reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2016, the Silver and Black will need to see who’ll be coming back. Obviously, some tough decisions lay ahead for general manager Dave Ziegler, especially regarding those who played major roles in the Raiders’ turnaround.

With that being said, there are a few reasons why Las Vegas should be extending Jacobs.
