Las Vegas Raiders: Which 2022 NFL Combine drills to watch per position

Quarterback: Interiews

There isn’t much you’re going to get out of combine drills when it comes to quarterbacks. And even though the field drills are a beautiful showcase to see a player’s natural arm talent, without any real pressure or need to make reads, it is not a great indicator of anything.

The game’s mental aspect is vital for quarterbacks, so teams will want to examine that this week. Teams can also get a small taste of what leadership qualities you possess from talking to you and asking your teammates if they happen to be at the combine.

If there is one thing testing-wise to look out for, it is whether a player who relies on running is actually an NFL-caliber athlete. Malik Willis is a prime example this season; he is a very dynamic player when you watch his highlights, so he should be able to translate that in his testing.

Other than that, it is all able the team interviews.

The Raiders likely won’t be interested in a quarterback until Day 3, but there are a lot of talented signal-callers out there this year.
