4 realistic first-round picks for Raiders before the NFL Combine

Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

Turning our attention to the defensive side of the ball, the Las Vegas Raiders have a lot of work to do in terms of the defensive line. Sure, they have elite edge rushers in Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue, but to run Patrick Graham’s 3-4 base defense, they need a big presence in the middle of the defensive line.

One player who could be available at pick No. 22 overall in the first round is Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Davis, who is a menacing presence based on his size and strength. This is a player who would be perfect to put between Crosby and Ngakoue along this defensive line, as he is an elite run-stuffer who can also get pressure up the middle and into the quarterbacks’ face.

With so many defensive tackles from the 2021 roster hitting free agency, Las Vegas has to figure this position group out this offseason, and they could certainly bring back some familiar faces from a year ago. However, this is a new regime in place, and Jordan Davis is someone they can build this position group around.
