Raiders Draft: WR Skyy Moore would be a steal in rounds 2-3
The Las Vegas Raiders will be revamping the wide receiver room this offseason, and Skyy Moore could end up being a steal on Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft.
It’s no state secret that the Raiders should be targeting a wide receiver this year, whether it’s at the NFL draft or through free agency in a few days. Another thing that’s quite obvious is that the Raiders are in desperate need of a speed infusion following the Henry Ruggs III misfortune. Perhaps taking a wide receiver in the second round makes sense.
Moore would certainly merit consideration after this weekend.
Before this weekend’s festivities in Indianapolis, Moore had been working his way up several draft boards. In all likelihood, now that the Combine is nearing its end, Moore, in all probability, has secured himself a spot in the draft’s second round.
In fact, the NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah backed up this notion by stating that there’d be no way Moore would make it out of the second round.
While several other receivers made waves at the Combine besides Moore, such as George Pickens, Calvin Austin, and, of course, Chris Olave, the Raiders will likely miss out on the latter as he’ll likely be gone by the 22nd pick. If that’s the case, Las Vegas can opt to go with an offensive lineman or the best defensive player available by that time.
In turn, the Raiders can secure Moore in the second round, giving themselves a true deep threat that might be able to replace Ruggs’ speed.
