Adding a Pro Bowler makes sense for the Raiders if the price is right…

According to CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin, Chark will be joining the Raiders on a deal worth $37.5 million for three years. Benjamin’s prediction makes sense, considering how badly a deep threat is needed in Sin City. Obviously, the Raiders will soon be making their financial decisions as free agency looms in a matter of days.

Prior to 2021, Chark had accumulated 1,714 receiving yards from 2019 through 2020. It was in 2019, though, when Chark got his Pro Bowl nod, finding the endzone eight times and averaging nearly 14 yards per reception. He also amassed 329 yards after the catch and proved to be a difficult target to bring down, standing at six-foot-four with five broken tackles to his name.

When you look at what general manager Dave Ziegler did with the New England Patriots in terms of attacking free agency with regard to the wide receiver position, fans shouldn’t be surprised if Ziegler has a similar approach this offseason.
