The Las Vegas Raiders are reported to have significant interest in WR DJ Chark, and because of that, Raider Nation should be excited.

What if I told you there’s a [former] Pro Bowl WR available who averages 14 yards a catch throughout his career, won’t command too high of a price tag and is only 25 years old? Now, what if I told you the Las Vegas Raiders reportedly have significant interest in this young, talented receiver?

You’d probably want to be filled in on the details.

This young man’s name is DJ Chark. Entering the fifth year of his NFL career, Chark is looking to find a new home, and Vegas [reportedly] wants to give him that home, and so should Raider Nation.

Drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft, Chark has played the entirety of his career in teal and gold. During the 2021 season, he appeared in only 4 games, before suffering a fractured ankle which effectively ended his season.

Although Jacksonville hasn’t surpassed six wins in a season during his tenure, Chark has still been able to find success. In 2019, the towering 6’4 receiver put up 1k+ yards with eight TDs in what was his first year as a starter. As a result, he found himself on the Pro Bowl roster.

Although playing just three full games in 2021, Chark was still on pace to do some great things. He recorded two TDs in these games (making him on pace for 11) with a whopping 22 yards per catch.

With that being said, here are 3 reasons Raider Nation should be excited about the Jacksonville receiver.
