Realistic cornerback options for the Las Vegas Raiders.

About a month ago, I wrote that I believed the Raiders’ three most realistic cornerback options to replace Casey Hayward were James Bradberry, Stephon Gilmore and JC Jackson. One month later, nothing has transpired to make that change.

Gilmore and Jackson are free agents this year, and although Bradberry isn’t a free agent himself, he’s been made available for trade. It only makes sense Bradberry would be on Las Vegas’ mind, seeing as the Raiders’ new defensive coordinator, Patrick Graham, is coming off of back-to-back years of coaching him as a Giant.

Bradberry is a former Pro Bowler and likely the cheapest of the three. Last year was a little bit of a struggle for him, allowing eight TDs, but the prior two years were very sound.

In 2020, the New York Giant broke up 18 passes, forced 2 fumbles, and even managed to snag three interceptions. 2019 was just as good, as Bradberry allowed a career-low completion percentage and opposing QB rate.
