Raiders in on Jackson?

Raiders look to NE for help?

Stephon Gilmore has the chance to reunite with some of his old New England buddies who are currently on the Las Vegas Raiders’ staff. Gilmore is known largely for his Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019, where the heavily decorated cornerback allowed an absolutely unreal opposing QB rating of 44.1.

The two years in-between have also treated Gilmore well, allowing the cornerback to be on a current streak of four Pro Bowl appearances in a row.

JC Jackson is the name Raider Nation wants the most, and to be honest, that wish just might be granted. Coming off of an All-Pro year, Jackson allowed under 50% of passes his way to be completed, and held opposing quarterbacks to a rate of 46.8.

Like Gilmore, JC also has a chance at a reunion with some former Patriot pals. The difference is, Jackson understandably wants to be the highest-paid corner in the NFL and has made that clear. Now, with a division of Mahomes, Hebert and Wilson, it may just be in the Raiders’ best interest to give him exactly what he wants.

Jackson has been linked with the Raiders since the beginning; Some have even gone as far as guaranteeing the former Patriot signs with Las Vegas.

Whoever the Raiders decide to roll the dice with as the second outside corner, they can sleep well knowing Trayvon Mullen and Nate Hobbs will hold down their assignments. On top of that, it makes it even easier when you have a guy like Trevon Moehrig watching your back – Abram, not much, but that’s a different story for a different time.
