Raiders: Expect big changes on the defensive side in 2022

Linebackers

When it comes to the defense for the Raiders in 2022, you can expect to see numerous changes at the linebacker spot. With the team moving to Patrick Graham’s system, the Silver and Black not only need talent at linebacker, but numbers as well, and right now, there are very few names under contract.

Denzel Perryman should be back, and rightfully so, as he was a Pro Bowl player for the Raiders last season. Nicholas Morrow is entering free agency, and that is a name to keep an eye on, but with no real ties to the organization left, he is also someone who could be deemed expendable in free agency.

KJ Wright came in during the season and had his moments, but is not someone the team is likely to bring back. Overall, we could see as many as five new players be brought in via the draft and free agency, and based on Graham’s system, this could be the group that makes or breaks the Raiders season on defense.
