As the news of Russell Wilson’s trade to Denver continues to shake the NFL, the Raiders are one of the teams most affected. However, the Raiders’ defense has experience.

When Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced that he would be staying in Green Bay for the foreseeable future, many Raiders fans likely let out a sigh of relief. Rumored to join the Denver Broncos, the MVP quarterback would be staying far away from the AFC West.

Now the Broncos would be forced to continue their quarterback search that has lasted since the days of Peyton Manning.

How quickly things can change. Not long after the Rodgers news dropped, Adam Schefter was back with another bombshell. That of course was the Broncos trade for star quarterback Russell Wilson. One of the most recognizable players in the NFL, Wilson is a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and a Super Bowl Champion.

Added to a roster that already had a collection of young talent, Wilson makes the AFC even tougher. Gone are the days of Drew Lock and Paxton Lynch, instead, Vegas plays in one of the best divisions in the NFL.  Luckily for them, they have a defensive coordinator who is familiar with the Bronco’s star quarterback.

In fact, he had tremendous success against him when they faced off in 2020.
