Raiders: Revisiting the 2019 NFL Draft class and where they stand

Maxx Crosby

If there’s one word to sum up 4th round pick Maxx Crosby since coming into the NFL, it’s motor. Crosby is as persistent as they come when it comes to fighting through plays; The Eastern Michigan edge rusher will give you all he has every snap, even to this day.

The 106th overall pick started his career by turning heads with his sheer refusal to accept being beaten on a play. As a result, he put together a 10-sack season, which ranked second amongst rookies and 15th in the NFL in general.

While those ten sacks might be his career-high, make no mistake; Crosby continues to add to his game every season, as well as increasing his amount of pressures each year.

Take a look at this mind-blowing play from Madd Maxx last year:

Last season, the edge rusher took a legitimate leap into stardom. Per PFF, Crosby led the league in pressures, as well being their highest-graded edge rusher. Not only would he go to the Pro Bowl – where he won AFC defensive MVP – but he would earn the honor of being an All-Pro (second team).

Of all the talent acquired in this draft, Maxx may very well be the top dog, and he was paid so this week. Crosby signed a near-$100 million extension to stay in the Silver and Black for the foreseeable future, as he is now one of the faces of the franchise.
