How is Ferrell doing since?

Unfortunately for the man who now wears #99, his last season was a result of the then defensive coordinator Gus Bradley not knowing what to do with him. Ferrell saw his snap percentage drop from the 60s, all the way down to 24%. As a result, he found himself with just 1.5 sacks and 14 total tackles.

The most unfortunate event that unfolded for Ferrell was the development of another 2019 draft pick, Maxx Crosby. Along with Yannick Ngakoue becoming a Raider in 2021, playing time was scarce for the former Clemson Tiger.

With Crosby making the Pro Bowl and Yannick being a Pro Bowl alternative, it doesn’t appear to be changing any time soon, either. At least, not from the edge position he was originally drafted as.

The best hope for him to see time on the field is returning to that interior role he played so often his rookie year. With Las Vegas currently only having 1 defensive tackle under contract for the 2020 season, who knows; Maybe that card is in his future.
