Trayvon Mullen
The Raiders’ second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft was cornerback Trayvon Mullen. Statistically speaking, his rookie year was his best year. He allowed an opposing completion percentage of 55.9 accompanied by an opposing rating of 78.3. These are both currently still career highs.
He was even able to add an INT to his resume.
For the most part, Mullen is pretty reliable when he’s on the field, even to this day. In 2021, a foot injury followed by a toe injury immediately upon his return resulted in Mullen only playing 229 snaps. Even though he allowed a 62.5% completion rate, he showed improvement in tackling, allowing only 47 yards after the catch on his 15 allowed completions.
If he is to continue to be a legitimate starter in Las Vegas, he has to have more availability, especially with the team likely bringing in a bunch of new faces at the position group this offseason. Mullen remains a starting corner for Vegas, and the hope is that the young corner will make a big step forward in 2022.
