Raiders free agency: Interior defensive linemen to consider in 2022

Calais Campbell

Calais Campbell will be a beast in the defensive front no matter how old he gets, as he will enter the season at 36 years old. But at 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds, he would immediately help the Raiders not only get after all three quarterbacks within the division but should be able to help a run game that was still a struggle last season.

Campbell was still a force in the middle last season for the Baltimore Ravens and finished the season with 34 solo tackles, 12 assisted tackles, and an 80.8 overall grade from PFF. The Ravens GM already said publicly that if Campbell wanted to return that there would be a spot for him but I think the Raiders should give him a call and gauge his interest beforehand.

And I’m not the only one who thinks that way standout defensive end Yannick Ngakoue got his recruiting started early this season tweeting about getting Calais to the dark side earlier this offseason. He would fix this defensive line in the interior immediately if the Raiders can get him to sign on the dotted line.
