The Packers recently released Za’Darius Smith, and given the large contracts given to Aaron Rodgers and Preston Smith, the Packers will look to reduce costs along the defensive line. A change of scenery may prove beneficial for Clelin Ferrell, who has struggled to find his footing since being drafted fourth overall in the 2019 NFL draft.

Ferrell, who has shown flashes of ability could have an opportunity to reinvent himself in Green Bay and potentially earn his fifth-year option from the Packers. Ferrell would be a smart move for both the Raiders and the Packers as the Raiders move a former first-round pick for a first-round caliber player without giving up too much draft capital.

The Packers would also be able to utilize this season’s 2nd round pick as well as an additional 4th round addition in 2023. Green Bay is a team that is ready to win right now, and Adams is their best piece on offense, but as we see all the time when a team spends big on the quarterback, it is hard to keep elite pieces around him.
