The Raiders currently sit with the 22nd pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and the Packers are at 28, and in this trade scenario, the Raiders and Packers could swap their picks. In addition, the Raiders sent the Packers pick No. 53 overall, their second-round selection.

This trade would allow the Packers to move up in the draft to a slightly better pick and would send the Raiders back in the first allowing them to bring in Davante Adams. Adams is going into his ninth season and has proven to be one of the league’s top pass-catchers, so he will certainly command a large haul.

Given the current trades that have commenced this compensation would be a fair offer for a top-5 receiver, especially given the fact that a contract extension will be necessary to progress forward. Remember, the 2022 NFL Draft class is loaded with wide receiver talent, and with the Packers spending so much on Rodgers, there may not be enough to go around to keep Adams in Green Bay for the foreseeable future.
