With the 2022 NFL draft approaching, the Raiders find themselves with 5 picks left. With all being in rounds 3 and onward, let’s discuss later prospects

As the 2022 NFL draft creeps closer, the list of holes that the Raiders entered the off-season with continue to get checked off one by one. First-year general manager Dave Ziegler hasn’t shied away from targeting elite talent, whether through free agency or trade, as his relentless approach has taken the NFL world by storm overnight.

The duo of Ziegler and McDaniels aren’t just gathering an abundance of talent, but are getting talent to fulfill a purpose. They’ve aggressively attacked spots they’ve needed to fix, and have yet to settle for anything less than their vision. This was one of the things owner Mark Davis praised Ziegler for during the pair’s introductory press conference.

As good as the Raiders’ new front office has been, they haven’t tackled everything quite yet. There are still places where work needs to be done, and luckily for the Raiders, this draft class has enough talent deep to find quality players in the later rounds.

Truth be told, the talent runs so deep in this draft, that Las Vegas couldn’t have picked a better year to be without a first and second-round pick. There are plenty of impact players available in rounds 3-5, where the Raiders hold four selections.

What I want to address specifically is the talent available around the fifth round, where the Silver and Black have back-to-back picks. There should be a good chunk of immediate impact players for Vegas to choose from, and I’m going to discuss five of them.
