Raiders: Ranking the pass rush duos in the AFC West

Scouting Report. DL. . Chandler JonesMaxx Crosby . #2. player. 28. Pick Analysis

Just missing out on the number one sot is the duo of Chandler Jones and Maxx Crosby. Jones is the new addition here but he is hardly a newcomer in the NFL. A two-time All-Pro, he has seven seasons of double-digit sacks including a monster 2019 season where he recorded 19 sacks.

Ranking 38th all-time in total sacks, Jones signed a three-year, 51 million dollar contract with Las Vegas. In 2021, Jones has 10.5 sacks for Arizona and a PFF grade of 70.4.

Of course, the star of the show in Vegas is still Maxx Crosby. Although he had just eight sacks in 2021, he led the NFL in QB pressures and was named to the NFL’s All-Pro second-team. Better yet, Crosby was rewarded with a massive four-year, 94 million dollar contract.

With one of the best stories in the NFL, Crosby is also one of its best players. He earned an elite PFF grade of 91.4 in 2021 and is poised to build upon that in 2022.

The Raiders’ new pass-rush duo is incredibly close to securing the number one spot. Both are incredible athletes with absurd physical gifts that will be nearly impossible for offenses to deal with. In 2021, the duo of Crosby and Yannick Ngakuoe was one of the league’s best. Jones and Crosby are likely to be even better.
