After trading for Packers star wideout Davante Adams, the Raiders have a solid receiving core. However, could it get better with the addition of another star receiver?

Going into the 2022 off-season, wide receiver has perhaps the Raiders’ most obvious need. Outside of Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas had youngster Bryan Edwards and a bunch of receivers many would consider “camp bodies.”

They remedied this in a big way however when they traded for All-Pro wideout Davante Adams. Considered by many to be the best receiver in the league, his prior connection with Derek Carr promises to take the Raiders offense to the next level.

However, are the Raiders satisfied with the work they have done at the position? Of course, Renfrow will man the slot but the other outside spot figures to be occupied by Edwards. After twelve starts in 2021, Edwards had 34 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns. While he wasn’t terrible, he left much to be desired.

So far, the Raiders have made some noise at wide receiver. They first brought in former Miami Dolphin Mack Hollins who had just 223 receiving yards in 2021. Next, they brought in Demarcus Robinson for a visit. Part of a crowded room in Kansas City, he had just 264 yards in 2021. If the Raiders truly want to upgrade the position they will have to think bigger.
