Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: 5 options in the 3rd Round for Las Vegas

Raiders top third-round options – No. 1 OL Ed Ingram, LSU

Beefing up the offensive line with more youthful and talented depth should still be the Raiders’ top priority. Ed Ingram from LSU would be a solid addition from this year’s crop of linemen. According to Pro Football Network, he’s their 73rd ranked prospect and has a chance of being available when the Raiders pick.

However, the Draft Network has seen Ingram rise in their rankings, possibly into the late second round.

Regardless, if Ingram were there, Zeigler would be adding a potential NFL swing lineman who could provide depth at either guard position and could learn behind either of the Raiders’ starting tackles. He possesses the natural athleticism and raw power to dominate as an anchor with his six-foot-three, 300-pound plus frame.

Though he won’t be a Day 1 starter, Ingram will settle into his adequate role once an NFL coaching staff gets their hands on him. He’ll contribute right away to the run game, largely due to his experience at LSU with their zone blocking scheme.

While there, he frequently broke through into the defense’s second level, opening up running lanes. By the same token, Ingram has sufficient lateral movement and balance to adequately block on pass plays. With the right tutelage, he can become an everyday starter.
