3 reasons why the Raiders will be Super Bowl contenders in 2022

A Dynamic Weapon on Offense

Davante Adams, the multi-time Pro-Bowler and likely Hall of Famer, is now a Las Vegas Raider. And what makes that even better is that he is reunited with his best friend from Fresno State, Derek Carr. Adams and Carr will likely rekindle the same magic they had in Fresno State, where both set countless all-time single-season and career records.

Adams will also help the Raiders’ red zone woes. Last year, Las Vegas ranked at the bottom of the league in red zone offense, often resorting to Daniel Carson’s leg for points. That can’t be the same way business is done this year, as the team has to score in the red zone if they want to be a serious Super Bowl contender. Adams’ ability to create separation on the goal line is impressive, and there is no doubt that his route running and strong hands will play a major role in Las Vegas’ ability to get better at scoring within the opposing 20-yard line.

Adams also makes the offense that much more dynamic as a whole. If you double team Davante, Waller will be open across the middle. Want to double up Waller? Carr will find Hunter Renfrow or Adams along the sideline. With so many weapons on this offense being nearly unguardable, defenses will have a very hard time keeping everyone in check. And since Carr is a QB that likes to spread the wealth, he should have no problem hitting the receivers he trusts.
