Defensive End

Yes, Las Vegas added Chandler Jones and yes, they also have a developing Malcolm Koonce on the roster. But I still think the Las Vegas Raiders could add another edge defender to the roster. Maybe one that can stop the run and even rotate to the interior of the defensive line, functioning as an additional defensive tackle.

Grabbing another depth piece on the line is imperative because injuries are common amongst the offensive line. Especially when you Chandler Jones is 32-years-old pass rusher, leaving him open to injuries. And there is no guarantee that Fackrell will play well or that Koonce will be able to produce at the same level that he did in his brief appearances. So, it’s in Las Vegas’ best interest to get another piece on the defensive front.

There are two big defensive ends that I think Las Vegas could target, with those players being Akiem Hicks and Matt Ioannidis. Both players have a lot of talent, and they are bigger guys that can play inside if needed.

They likely wouldn’t cost that much, and both might have the same type of resurgent season that Solomon Thomas had in Vegas. They could also look to the draft, which has a deep class of players that can play on the defensive line.
