Quarterback
Before you get carried away, I am not saying the Raiders need to replace Derek Carr. What I’m saying is that the Raiders need a viable option to backup Carr. Garrett Gilbert won’t get the job done. And after Trevor Siemian, who the Raiders were interviewing, went to the Chicago Bears, the Raiders need to find a new backup.
Right now, there are two great options for Las Vegas, with those two quarterbacks being Andy Dalton and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Both were starting quarterbacks at one point, and one definitely be able to step in if Carr had to miss a part or the whole of a game. If those two are two expensive, Las Vegas can try to look at players like AJ McCarron or Blaine Gabbert.
Even though Carr is a great quarterback who rarely misses games, Las Vegas still needs to have a backup option if things go south midseason.
