3 Las Vegas Raiders who could make first-team All-Pro in 2022

Davante Adams

We might as well get the most likely out of the way.

Davante Adams has been one of the most productive wide receivers in all of football over the last two seasons. I’m sure having a 4x MVP in quarterback Aaron Rodgers slinging the ball to you pays huge dividends, but even Rodgers has gone on record to state Adams is the best he has ever played with.

Adams is one of those generational talents that only come around every so often. And for a franchise like the Raiders, which has been a rotating door for wide receivers since the early 2000s, his addition to the team is beyond immense.

The former wide receiver for Derek Carr in their college days in Fresno; Returns to join his former teammate in a move that seems to have been years in the making. Not only has RaiderNation pined for this reunion, but the captain himself in Carr as well.

Here we are, in 2022 and the move has finally come to fruition. Carr not only gets his former college buddy back but is also one of the best in the game at his position. Adams is nearly unstoppable and can line up on the outside or the slot, and his route running is something that the Raiders have missed since the days of Tim Brown.

We have not seen Adams perform outside of Green Bay, or from the grasp of Rodgers for that matter; Barring any sort of weird circumstances, the change in scenery should not dampen the ability of the back-to-back All-Pro star.

The familiarity between Carr and Adams is well noted. And the two seasons they starred together at Fresno St. resulted in Adams catching 233 passes from Carr while adding over 3,000 receiving yards and nearly 40 touchdown receptions. Sure, this was college, but these numbers jump out at anyone, and they will look to build upon this success now in the professional ranks.

Adams is coming off a first-team All-Pro selection in 2021, after following it up from 2020. This should not change; And now as Adams becomes the favorite target of Carr again, expect him to make it three straight All-Pro selections in a row.
