Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: 3 OL who could make an immediate impact

Kenyon Green, Texas A&M

As it stands, the Raiders start drafting at no.86, and there’s a higher chance of winning the lottery than there is of Kenyon Green being available when Las Vegas is on the clock.

Lately, the new front office for the Silver and Black has been vocal about trading up and getting in a position to select one of the better players in the draft. While both the player and position Las Vegas would target in a trade-up remains unspecified, it’s hard to imagine it wouldn’t be for an offensive lineman, specifically a special talent like Kenyon Green.

In this scenario, there are several options who the Raiders can choose from, but I went with Kenyon Green due to how well he would fit in Las Vegas. He has both versatility and extraordinary talent and is a match made in heaven with the Raiders. The two go together so well that I was almost certain he would be the selection at 22, before the Adams trade.

As both of the beforementioned options, this is a player who brings a ton of versatility. Actually, the Aggies’ offensive lineman brings more versatility than either of the other two. Green has played both guard and tackle spots, keeping a high level of production at all four places. The only spot on the line he hasn’t played is center, but truthfully, he even has the skill set to play there, too.

I’ve talked about his power and surprisingly fast movement for a 323lb man in the past, but what I haven’t talked about is how his stock continues to fall due to so many others rising. This only helps Las Vegas if they have their eyes on Green, as they might be able to trade up later than expected and take advantage of a potential falling in the draft.

If you’re interested in Green’s skill set and how he changes the dynamic of a team, you can find it here. In the event, he begins to slip and the Raiders can take advantage of this, it could be the move that makes the Las Vegas Raiders legitimate contenders.
