Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: 3 OL who could make an immediate impact

The most important thing for the Las Vegas Raiders is putting Alex Leatherwood at the position he can flourish most. Maybe this position is guard, or maybe it’s tackle; The Raiders are unsure. No matter which position ends up being the answer, it changes nothing, as Robinson has plenty of starting experience at both right guard and right tackle.

In both the ’19 and ’20 seasons, Robinson spent almost all of his time at right guard, where he played well. Of the 25 contests he played and started during that time, 23 were at right guard. This was before a shift to right tackle in 2021, where he started each of his 13 games at his new position.

How well did Robinson play at guard? In 2020, Robinson posted a PFF pass-blocking grade of 84.2, which was the highest among the starting offensive linemen at Oklahoma. At right tackle, he was able to keep up his impressive play, earning him a second-team All-Big 12 selection this past year.

What makes the versatile Sooner such a sweet option is the Raiders can trade down with their third and still likely be in a position to grab him, or perhaps even wait until they’re up once again in the fourth round. Las Vegas doesn’t have to use their third-rounder to get a quality, versatile offensive lineman if Robinson is their guy, but for this next option, they’ll have to use that third.
