Raiders 2022 free agency: Las Vegas in on Tyrann Mathieu sweepstakes
Las Vegas is reported to have interest in All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu
The Las Vegas Raiders came into free agency with a focus on bringing in some of the best talent the NFL has to offer, shown by adding an All-Pro player on both sides of the ball.
Edge rusher Chandler Jones came first, signing a three-year deal to play with the recently extended Maxx Crosby. Then, just one day after agreeing to terms with the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year runner-up, the Raiders traded for the best wideout in the business.
After two waves of free agency have come and gone, it appears the Las Vegas Raiders are once again in the market for another elite talent – This time, it’s the All-Pro Tyrann Mathieu.
Las Vegas has been rumored to be in on both Mathieu, and cornerback Stephon Gilmore for most of the offseason, but could they really bring in a player of his caliber when they have already struck gold so many times over the past few months. The new regime is certainly not afraid to make a big move, and here, we look at the likelihood of Mathieu being in the Silver and Black next season.
