After the signings of Mack Hollins and Demarcus Robinson, as well as the blockbuster trade for Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders are still eyeing wideouts. This time, their attention is on Brandin Cooks.

Entering free agency with a wideout group that was best described as an eyesore, the Las Vegas Raiders were quickly able to turn a weakness into a strength.

This was done through the efforts of, not only setting up the unit to thrive by ensuring the group was deep with playmakers but also trading for a player who’s tallied 2,929 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns in his last-30 contests.

Even after the steps they’ve taken to help ensure success on the outside, the Raiders aren’t done trying to reload with wideouts. This time, it comes in the form of speed, as Las Vegas reportedly has an interest in the former first-round pick, Brandin Cooks.

Cooks is more than just speed, though; He’s production. The Texan’s wideout has recorded at least 1,000 yards receiving in each of his two seasons with the team, as well as combining for 12 scores. Cooks also has 171 receptions in this timeframe, in addition to 21 yards on run-designed plays.

It isn’t just Houston where Cooks has found success. Not only has the 28-year-old compiled 1,000+ receiving yards in a season with each of the four teams he’s played for, but he’s also hit that mark six times in the last seven years.

With the Silver and Black showing interest in the veteran, let’s talk about how he fits with the team and the benefits he brings.
