Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: Some intriguing WR options on Day 3
Raiders Day 3 Wide Receiver Option No. 5 – Tanner Conner, Idaho State
By way of Idaho State, Tanner Conner had an impressive outing at his pro day, notching a 4.37 time in his 40-yard dash and a 39-and-a-half-inch vertical jump. Will it be enough for the Raiders to take a flyer on him in the seventh round?
His frame of six-foot-three and 230 pounds might be better used as a tight end in the NFL. I would be hard-pressed to believe that he has the speed to play in the slot or outside. He’s a tough football player and isn’t afraid to go over the middle, where he has notable strength to blow through defenders to make a catch that can go for extra yardage given that he has a nice stiff arm.
An outstanding combo mix of nice hands, awareness, and natural talent that could see him turn into a viable receiving option if placed in the right system. Will it be the Raiders?
