In 2022, the NFL landscape is going to look a lot different in terms of the quarterback position, and here, we rank all starting 32 signal-callers entering the draft.

After another wild free agency period, the NFL Draft will soon be upon us. However, with the quarterback landscape shifting in recent weeks, here’s how the position stacks up currently.

Ranking every starting quarterback in the NFL after 2022 Free Agency

55. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. . 32. player. QB. MitchellTrubisky

With Ben Roethlisberger retired, the Steelers are entering a new era. The first player to get a chance at being the quarterback of the future is a former first-round pick, Mitchell Trubisky. Most recently spending time with the Buffalo Bills in 2021, he spent most of his time holding the clipboard for starter Josh Allen.

After appearing in six games last season and recording 43 passing yards and an interception, the Steelers felt comfortable enough with what they saw to give him a two-year contract that can reach 27 million with incentives.

In 2022, there is no real reason to expect Trubisky to become a better player going forward. A bad player in Chicago who not only struggled with the mental side of the game but showed some severe limitations in the way he chooses to attack defenses. The weapons in Pittsburgh are promising however with Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool back in the fold as Najee Harris leads the run game behind him.

All the pieces are in place for Trubisky to succeed in 2022, but he just may not be that good.
