Ranking every starting quarterback in the NFL after 2022 Free Agency

The fourth QB selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, Fields was forced to endure a season with Matt Nagy as his head coach. Originally named the backup to Andy Dalton, he started ten games last season while battling broken ribs and Covid-19. In addition to all of this, his weapons were subpar for much of the season.

Despite this, Fields displayed some skills reminiscent of a franchise quarterback. With tremendous poise and arm talent, the Bears appear to have a franchise quarterback on their hands. The counting stats were not overly impressive with 1,870 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and ten interceptions, it was clear Fields has something special.

In 2022, Fields will be playing under a new offensive coordinator with Luke Getsy. Most recently the passing game coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, he should represent an upgrade as a play-caller for the young quarterback. While the weapons still leave much to be desired, Fields should continue to take steps forward in 2022.
