Ranking every starting quarterback in the NFL after 2022 Free Agency

Scouting Report. . player. 54. Pick Analysis. QB. Jalen Hurts. 18

Against all odds, Jalen Hurts continues to find success as an NFL quarterback. After his first full season as a starter, Hurts was able to get the Eagles to the playoffs. The biggest reason for hope going forward with Hurts in Philadelphia is his supreme running ability. With 704 rushing yards and ten touchdowns last season, he is a legitimate threat on the ground.

Through the air is where he will have his struggles. Still, his 3,144 yards, sixteen touchdowns, and nine interceptions are certainly not the worst. His best game, a 387-yard effort against the Chiefs, shows him at his best as he had another 47 yards on the ground.

Currently slated to be the Eagles starting quarterback once again in 2022, he deserves another year to show what he can do. If the game plan is built around his running ability, he can lead a very successful offense in the NFL. This is especially true if he takes more steps forward as a passer. The Eagles do have two first-round picks in April however so it remains to be seen if they will make a move at the position.
