Despite the constant noise around him and his team, Cousins continues to provide quality quarterback play for the Vikings. Often considered to be the example of an average quarterback, it is fitting that Minnesota was 8-8 in his starts. Earlier in the off-season, the Vikings further proved their commitment to him as well with a one-year, 35 million dollar contract extension.

Elected to a third Pro Bowl in 2021, Cousins had his sixth 4,000-yard passing season while also tossing 33 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. For a guy who is consistently mocked in the media, he put together yet another rock-solid season.

After the firing of head coach Mike Zimmer, Minnesota brought in former Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell to be the new headman. Hoping to capture the same offensive explosiveness that is being experienced by the Rams and Bengals, the Vikings have all the pieces on offense to become one of the league’s best in short order.
