Ranking every starting quarterback in the NFL after 2022 Free Agency

QB. . 48. Pick Analysis. TomBrady. 3. player. Scouting Report

After the 2021 season, the sports world was shaken to the core by the news of Tom Brady’s retirement. Still one of the best quarterbacks in the game, it was a surprise even considering his advanced age. However, after just a month, he decided to give it one more go in the NFL and returned to the Buccaneers.

At 44 years old, the numbers he posted in 2021 were ridiculous. He led the league in attempts, completions, yards, and touchdowns. The 5,316 passing yards are a career-high and the 43 touchdowns are the second-most in his career. Astonishingly, he is getting better with age as his arm has not shown any noticeable signs of decline.

In 2022, the Buccaneers will look a bit different. Head coach Bruce Arians has stepped into a front-office role, star guard Ali Marpet has retired and Antonio Brown is gone. However, Mike Evans is still here along with Chris Godwin when he returns from injury. Those two along with the elite talent of Brady will have Tampa Bay right back in the Super Bowl picture.

Truthfully, there is an argument to be made that Brady should be number one on this list after the season he just had so this is a bit of a projection. Despite being the best quarterback in the NFL last season, he has to regress at some point right?
