Scouting Report. MattStafford. 8. player. . 51. Pick Analysis. QB

After toiling away in Detroit for years, Stafford finally escaped after his trade to the Los Angeles Rams. Already loaded with talent, the Rams just needed a quarterback that was capable of fully unlocking the offenses’ potential. With Stafford, they became the Super Bowl-caliber team they always believed they could be as he led them to a championship his first year away from Detroit.

To say he unlocked the offense’s potential may be putting it lightly. With 4,886 passing yards and 41 touchdowns, Stafford and the Rams were an unstoppable machine on offense throughout all of 2021. They got even better at the trade deadline after adding Odell Beckham Jr. at receiver as well.

Going forward, there is no real reason to expect a drop-off from Stafford. He has always shown he has elite-level talent while in Detroit but he never got the chance to showcase it in big games. Now, Stafford is a household name who is capable of returning to another Super Bowl and will be in the MVP race in 2022.
