The Raiders are all in the next three years

More than anything, the Silver and Black made sure that the team was stable at quarterback for the next few years. McDaniels can prepare for a playoff run in each of the next three years knowing he has a signal-caller that’s thrown for 193 touchdowns in the regular season in the past eight seasons.

Besides, this also allows McDaniels to scout and possibly draft a quarterback during the next few years. Planning for the future will be crucial considering that Carr will be 35 by the time this deal ends.

While McDaniels could certainly develop another quarterback on the side, the focus will be on this unit that he’s assembled. Carr, Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Josh Jacobs give the new head coach an endless number of possibilities.

McDaniels has proven to be one of the best offensive minds in the NFL, and with his core now secured, the focus can shift to planning for the season with voluntary workouts beginning earlier this week.
