The Las Vegas Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr have agreed to an extension, which begs the question, who’s next?

With all of the moves the Raiders made this offseason, it was clear that they had no intention of “rebuilding.” The team made the playoffs, and to build on that success, the team’s new brass had an aggressive start to their offseason, showing that they weren’t afraid to be big spenders.

Now, the team has doubled down on its efforts by agreeing to an extension with quarterback Derek Carr.

The fact is, Carr was obviously “the guy” all along, and new head coach Josh McDaniels has been waiting for a chance to coach the signal-caller. In fact, last offseason, when McDaniels was still with the New England Patriots as their offensive coordinator, it appeared that the team was indeed looking to acquire Carr’s services, as NFL insider Ian Rapoport stated during Pat McAfee’s show on Wednesday.

Now that general manager Dave Ziegler has once again shown his managerial prowess, the question shifts to other key components of the Raiders’ roster.

No. 4 has agreed to an extension that’s “favorable” towards the team, akin to Tom Brady’s last deal. It’s an effort to secure and/or acquire as much help as possible while ensuring Carr doesn’t go anywhere beyond 2022. So, how does Carr’s extension affect the rest of the team, in particular, three of his teammates on offense?
